Our work is engineered in-house and sealed by a licensed professional engineer, prepared to meet code and pass plan review in every state we serve. Clients work directly with the engineers responsible for the design.

John Molak

Chief Executive Officer

John Molak brings more than three decades of experience in the electrical industry. Beginning as an electrical apprentice and later earning his journeyman electrician license, he built a strong foundation that led to a successful career in electrical distribution sales, the creation of a lighting sales agency, and ultimately the founding of Vertical Design Services. Today, John leverages his industry expertise, leadership, and entrepreneurial vision to help contractors, engineers, and partners drive successful project outcomes while advancing innovation within the design-build industry.

Dillon Mitchell

President

A professional electrical engineer who has worked on $1.5+ billion of commercial construction over the last 15 years and 75+ arc flash studies, completing projects across K-12, higher education, healthcare, hotels, restaurants, multifamily, dormitories, corporate offices, warehousing, and manufacturing. Dillon brings extensive experience managing projects and MEP teams with the latest BIM coordination technology.

Behind them is a team of engineers and designers carrying the same standard across every discipline, with every set of drawings sealed by a licensed professional engineer.
