Electrical engineering in Arizona.
Vertical Design Services holds active professional engineering licensure in Arizona. The full electrical scope, engineered in-house and sealed by a PE licensed in the state.
Arizona, and metro Phoenix in particular, has become one of the largest data center and semiconductor markets in the country, alongside sustained multifamily and commercial growth.
High ambient temperatures affect conductor ampacity and equipment ratings, so derating and the cooling load behind critical facilities need to be settled early in the design.

Electrical engineering in Arizona: common questions.
Is Vertical Design Services licensed in Arizona?
Yes. Vertical Design Services holds active professional engineer (PE) licensure in Arizona, so drawings for Arizona projects are sealed by an engineer licensed in the state. Licensure is verifiable directly with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.
How do I verify a professional engineer's license in Arizona?
Licensure in Arizona is administered by the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, which maintains a public license lookup on its website at https://btr.az.gov/. Verifying a PE's status there before they seal your drawings is good practice on any project.
Can Vertical Design Services seal electrical drawings for a Arizona project?
Yes. Because the firm holds Arizona licensure, it can engineer and seal the electrical design without bringing in a separate local engineer of record. That is the point of holding licensure in more than 20 states: one partner can follow a contractor across state lines.

The full scope: power systems design, lighting design, controls, fire alarm, arc flash studies, coordination studies, short circuit studies, and Revit/BIM coordination. Each can be delivered on its own or as part of a complete electrical design for a Arizona project.
